Halfway through the season & it still feels pretty aimless - definitely leans into an insanely camp tone. Characters act so stupid I'm starting think that this is some sort of commentary on the wealthy & privileged who feel that they can do anything without consequences. Bonkers.
Update: This show is baffling — characters behave in such a way no human being ever would. Bad accents slip in and out and the stretched out story seems more complicated than it needs to be. And yet, this dumpster fire compels me to turn in every week.
There is nothing funnier in the history of comedy than when Titus Andromedon sang the America’s Funniest Home Video theme song thinking it was the national anthem.

Cape Fear on AppleTV — not sure the reason for its existence other than a nice paycheck for everyone involved and an IP name to add to Apple’s catalog. Maybe I’ll come around to it. We’ll see.

This is why Eisenberg’s performance is so good — it’s an interpretation of a person which provides him a bit of a leeway creatively to dramatize a character as appose to an accurate impression which feels limiting.
#Obsession ending its Week 1 at $30.2M, adding $3.2M on THU. That's 10% higher than MON & just 28% down from its opening FRI. An exceptionally rare trend for the North American BO.
2nd weekend should be $20M+, possibly closer to $25M.
$100M final feels likely. More? let's see.
