@hockeyjtm This mostly comes down to getting the NHLPA to agree. Some guys will never agree for themselves, particularly once they are used to certain gear, but are happy to agree for future generations. Sucks - but it's what comes with unionizing, which I ultimately support.

They might GO to games, leading to possible player harassment, and maybe you get a few rare merch sales? Seems like a miss in every regard.

@bellanati0n @brainnothoughts That has been my experience as well. I have to imagine it's because women who are sports fans are less likely to be casual fans, since they have to be really dedicated to put up with the nonsense that often comes with being a female fan.

@applecheekced Yeah, I like that this move has been getting pushback, especially by those it's "for", but people emphasizing WHO it's about has been rubbing me the wrong way.

No one deserves to have their image taken advantage of by their employer, regardless of how you feel about them.

When i say i dislike corporations in fan spaces, this is EXACTLY what i mean.

One: this is basically fanfiction and the number one rule of fanfiction is it STAYS in fandom spaces

Two: LITERALLY NO ONE HAS ASKED FOR THIS

Women in sports spaces dont want to be associated with this and im sure the players dont want this either.
