Controversial take - AI is slowly killing your brand
The playing field is now level, you no longer need a massive team of designers, creatives and strategists. Most brands are opting for the $50 p/m subscriptions flexing their AI systems and it fully handling their creatives
If all of your competitors are using the same software, same templates how on earth do you expect to dominate your market? and show to everyone you're worth investing in
I've even been seeing the amount of comments on Meta ads of the general public calling out on AI.
It may be saving you money and speeding things up in the short term however, the long term effect this will have on your brand isn't something to be posting about
How much of your email revenue is actually real?
Most agencies and marketers flex 30% revenue from email but don't actually show where its coming from
To put it into perspective one of the top performing flows on a subscription brand we work with is their reviews - because they're on subscription their new month renewal get attributed to this flow!
Someone with no knowledge would look at their email revenue and thing it's amazing but in reality it's got nothing to do with your revenue
If you're interested to know what your true email performance is comment "Myria" and we'll send over a report!
@lucamailz Brands that actually wanna win don’t care about what ai you’re running they wanna see actual quality work and results
The market is gunna get so much easier for talented marketers, designers and copywriters
Working in ecommerce it's so important you know your actual true numbers
Especially for marketers and agencies who just brag about revenue, this isn't a direct sign that your brand is doing well or its even profitable
Tracking new customer acquisition, cost to acquire customers, retention or repeat purchases and churn - factors which actually make your business profitable and put you in a position to scale
For example every platform over attributes revenue, with attribution windows even if someone sees your ad or clicks and email and purchases a day later from somewhere else it will still get attributed
And when people talk about 40% email revenue this is such a big red flag
Which is why we developed https://t.co/CN0ASu2s71 - A user friendly platform which breaks down your data on Klaviyo in the truest form and gives you real data on your customers, so that you're not guessing when they're ready
Anyway shameless plug there I put together a Notion Board with a free calculator to help you work out your true numbers like
CAC payback
LTV
LTV to CAC ratio
And also a true verdict whether the pricing structure you are using is actually profitable - your numbers also chance as you scale and increase budgets!
Comment "Numbers" and get the full break down + calculator sent straight to your Dms
Just started working with a brand that spend £60k on branding, guidelines etc
and tbh i first thought what a waste of money
but
its been one of the most satisfying brands ive ever worked with
i bought a car today
had to find the salesman in the shop, had to chase him down and push for the car
yet he gets commission
fuck me i'd make a killing being a car salesman non of them had any drive or people skills what so ever
Marketers and Agencies bragging about revenue from email really need to have a word with themselves
I Co-founded https://t.co/CN0ASu2s71 with my a member of my agency to bring true numbers to Email Marketing
Nearly every number is inflated or can be manipulated
We've seen campaigns with 0% CTR (0 people clicked a link) still attributing sales. Try it yourself, send a text based email with no links and see how much revenue still gets attributed
They don't even physically need to click a link for it to track revenue, most email providers download the email content for quicker load times. This actually counts as an "Open" - pair this with a 5 day attribution window and revenue continues to get attributed
Email marketings main strength is with Retention, whether it's returning customers, keeping people on your subscription plan
and even lowering your CAC with a welcome offer and trust and objection handling.
So measuring overall revenue each month with a large majority is coming from Paid or Socials efforts is pretty much a number on a screen at this point
What we measure for is returning customer rate MOM, using data to find when the customer is next ready to purchase, seeing who's at risk for Churn with subscriptions and talking to them specifically. All of this can be done inside of https://t.co/CN0ASu2s71
Here's an example of a fashion brand we started working with in October. Immediately started to see an uptrend with returning customers and it continues to grow!
Don't be like everyone else looking for Revenue numbers when it comes to email - look for number which actually improve your business
