What do they bring to the table?
→ What we are used to is: treasuries just being a wallet that Someone handles, trusting that the emissions sitting in the wallet get paid out, and that no one quietly walks off with it.
Enigma runs treasuries differently:
> Miner emissions are accumulated in a treasury wallet, not in a personal wallet.
> No single key can drain it.
> Funds only move when SN63's validators reach consensus on-chain.
That requirement for agreement helps eliminate the risk of scams and ensures fair competition where one winner can take everything.

I think we’re still really early in the quantum narrative.
Most people are watching for the moment quantum computers become powerful enough to matter.
I’m more interested in what happens before that.
Who is stress testing the cryptography, verification systems and assumptions we’re building around quantum?
That’s what caught my attention with @EnigmaSN63 .
They’re putting real deep tech problems into an open arena on Bittensor, with companies like Terra Quantum and BlueQubit bringing actual challenges to the table.
RSA is being pushed from 480 bit toward 500 bit. Not breaking modern 2048+ bit encryption. It’s about measuring how the frontier is moving.
That’s a much more interesting narrative to me than just “quantum is coming.”
Enigma is basically building the place where we can start testing what happens when it does.

One of the common misconceptions we're seeing is that "Utility-scale quantum computers aren't ready yet so it's not worth investing".
This is certainly a safe (and popular) stance to take, but not necessarily a well-informed one.
The reality is that a lot of the work being done in quantum (and all of the work being done on Enigma) is designed to be done today, in preparation for the era of large-scale quantum computers.
Even though quantum computers aren't ready, the threats associated with Q-Day are real RIGHT NOW (look up HNDL). Our Breaking RSA challenge is designed specifically to shine a light on this problem and make a real change in the perception of PQC migration. By the time utility-scale quantum computer arrive, it will already be too late to migrate.
While our Hardening Quantum Proof challenge will have use cases when quantum arrives, the possibility for real licensable IP is already relevant. Quantum researchers aren't waiting for quantum computers to license IP -- they're licensing their discoveries TODAY.
The work being done on the algorithm and security side of quantum is arguably just as important as the hardware engineering, but is often overlooked. The more people that get on board with the fact that there is real, valuable work being done to ensure quantum readiness, the sooner we'll get to a world where quantum computers are useful at a utility scale.

The idea behind Enigma is one of the more interesting ones on Bittensor right now.
If the tech the world depends on can break, better it breaks in public than quietly in a private lab.
So @EnigmaSN63 runs open challenges: cracking RSA keys as a public benchmark (480-bit done, 500-bit next, real systems at 2048-bit are fine), and stress-testing whether "quantum" results can be faked classically. Backed by real companies like Terra Quantum and BlueQubit putting up real problems.
And the prize money sits in a treasury wallet no individual can touch. Validators have to reach consensus to move it. First subnet to ship that.
