Int'l Keynote Speaker, factivist, author & award-winning creative. Adoptee & adoptive dad w/ 4 awesome kiddos. Married to my fave human❤️ Bethany. I love Jesus.
I've been brown my whole life. I've lived in the South most of my life. I've never once been unable to vote. I've never been unable to get a license or photo ID. And I've never once needed the party of racism and voter suppression, @TheDemocrats, to speak for me. #VotingRights
"We the People....secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity..." (U.S. Constitution). "We the People" must include ALL the people. #VoteNo on heinous pro-abortion amendments that will legalize killing our Posterity in VA, ID & NV. https://t.co/jYUCe5n8Wu
@BarackObama Remember when you targeted adoptive parents via the IRS when YOUR admin denied us the Adoption Tax Credit and bogusly eliminated adoption-related expenses??? I do. I was one of them. A whopping 69% of these returns were audited! Sit down @BarackObama. https://t.co/bsZ1zly0IN
Also, he wasn't done with the first one so @CTMagazine published a second one the next day promoting more distortions and straight up lies (e.g. "we threatened to sue the students".) We did suggest we might sue the school because it was Wheaton's Office of Student Life that sent out the campus-wide email smearing me. Ed was their attack dog, and CT enabled the fact-challenged screeds. For weeks we pursued trying to get Wheaton's top leadership to address the dishonest and slanderous way in which they handled all of this BEFORE we went public with it. They refused and cancelled our scheduled phone call. They chose to use Ed Stetzer, CT and their student paper to do their dirty work. https://t.co/mOrgisToXv
So, @CTmagazine laid off 20% of staff & 40% of editorial folks. No tears here. The leftist "evangelical" rag veered long ago from Billy Graham's biblical fidelity. @WheatonCollege used it to smear me via 2 hit pieces by @EdStetzer. 🤣 Journalism isn't what they do. https://t.co/9qqLYW6N5G
Ed Stetzer, without ever calling me first to discuss the smear campaign (read https://t.co/4YTsRDigE8 first), repeated lies spread by students and student gov't leader who weren't even AT the event. Trifling. It was a condescending smear with zero effort to convey the truth. https://t.co/b0kfNdoWpw
Remember a couple of years ago when this woman came out with her book on Elisabeth Elliot and some of us who have long loved Elliot’s teaching we’re saying that there were red flags in it that suggested she was using it to push particular narratives? And we were assured that no, she was just a serious-minded historian trying to do legitimate retrieval on Elliot’s life.
Now she’s very glad to claim that she has discovered that Elizabeth Elliott was a lesbian…
Christianity Today has published an outlandish story alleging that Elisabeth Elliott was bisexual.
You read that correctly. Christianity Today—the journal of evangelical conviction founded by Carl Henry and Billy Graham—is making the case that Elisabeth Elliott was in some sort of a lesbian relationship with feminist Virginia Mollenkott.
Among the eye-popping claims are these:
“William Stell… brings to light new primary source material which, in context, strongly suggests that Elliot was what we would now call bisexual.”
“There should be nothing shocking or scandalous about the mere discovery that Elliot was attracted to women as well as men.”
“The source material Stell has brought to light, though, should inform the church’s treatment of Christians who experience same-sex attraction, as Elliot seems likely to have experienced.”
The scandal here is not Elliott. The scandal is that the article provides exactly zero evidence to support the claim that Elliott was a bisexual. Zero. None. Nada.
Rather, the entire case rests on a single interview with the late Mollenkott who recounted a story not of a lesbian affair with Elliott but of Mollenkott threatening to smear Elliott as a lesbian if Elliott outed Mollenkott. As the author of the article admits, we don’t even know if Mollenkott’s account is true. The event she recounts happened 50 years before the interview, has not been corroborated by anyone, and both of the principles are dead (Elliott and Mollenkott).
It’s entirely tendentious and salacious to spin this brief confrontation between Elliott and a Mollenkott as evidence of a lesbian relationship. It’s preposterous, actually. Especially in light of Elliott’s repeated public statements about the ethics of homosexuality. For example, the Elisabeth Elliott Foundation has a YouTube recording of a Q&A with Elliott in which she affirms the traditional biblical view in no uncertain terms. Elliott declares,
“Scripture is crystal clear, absolutely crystal clear. Homosexuality is classified along with murder and adultery and everything else. It’s just in that list of sins… What would give a homosexual person who claims that he was born that way the right to be sexually active when God has made it crystal clear that the only place for sexual activity is in the marriage bed?… What gives the homosexual the right to think that he has a special dispensation to sleep with members of the same sex? God deplores it. He hates it.” [source linked in thread below.]
This does not reflect well on the editors of CT, who assure readers that the story has been through a rigorous editorial vetting. I don’t know how the editors could make such a claim based on the flimsy evidence and tendentious conclusions reached in this report.
But perhaps most disturbing of all is the perspective of the author of the article concerning gay relationships. The author is Lucy Austen, Elliott’s biographer. Austen apparently believes that there is nothing “scandalous” or wrong about Elliott’s alleged experience of same-sex attraction. According to her, Christians shouldn’t be troubled by this at all.
I don’t know anything about Austen, but this statement raises major questions about what her views are on the ethics of homosexuality. Is she saying that there is nothing scandalous about homosexual attraction? It kind of sounds like she is.
In any case, read the article for yourself, and come to your own conclusions. I suspect you’ll find the claims to be just as provocative as I’ve described them.
Just for reference, @WheatonCollege ridiculously smeared me because I spoke the truth about #BlackLivesMatter and (GASP!) used stats and a biblical worldview to expose the fraudulent movement's radically pro-abortion, anti-family, pro-Marxism manifesto. https://t.co/l9P1yv9xLN
@AdImpact_Pol Sorry, @Michele_Tafoya. Being a pro-abortion Republican is like having a pro-slavery Republican. It’s contrary to the GOP’s origin and DNA.

Exactly one year ago, on this day, I finally found my biological family. And for the first time, I learned the whole story behind being conceived in rape but adopted in love. https://t.co/1tOCzwEDCl
Pro-abortion, anti-Constitution, anti-facts @NewYorkStateAG is SO FAR out of her league. It would be funny if she weren’t one of the worst AGs in history. She has no use for the law, just lawfare…the kind she’s currently waging against life-saving pregnancy centers in NY.
The moment my wife told me "we're having another one!" my heart rejoiced, and I cried! When I first heard his heartbeat via ultrasound, I cried. When I watched him being born, I cried. What a gift life is! Happy birthday, Kai! You are such an incredible blessing! You are SO loved, son!!! Psalm 127:3

Unplanned, but never unwanted. Today, 22 years ago, the baby girl who changed a young single woman’s life was born. 🎉 She’s graduating this Spring with a degree in Elementary Education to be a teacher like her mama. 🙌 https://t.co/tRoD3rahTi #LifeHasPurpose#AdoptedAndLoved
Sorry, @JoeBiden. A "Catholic" getting an award from a baby-killing business is like a Jew getting an award from NAZIs. Some of the first Board members of #PlannedParenthood were NAZI sympathizers and members of the KKK, like racist Lothrop Stoddard. https://t.co/0hQS7VNgnC
