@Claytoncyre How do games evolve and get better, then? There’s also plenty of small games available. If you don’t like digital only big games, don’t buy them.
@SenWarren Apple didn’t raise their prices in response to the tariffs. Only recently had a price hike due to high memory costs. So yes, they get their money back
@JoshEdits They have released games since 2013 and you can also study market trends for other games in a similar vein. I’m sure it was a well calculated move and it won’t make any difference on sales
@Dearme2_ Adding up your highest estimate for each of those adds up to 20…there’s 4 more hours. Working 8-9 hours isn’t an issue. Leaves you plenty of time. You just have to actually manage it well
@cloaca_official Take this as a warning not to be left behind. I see so many people refuse to interact with AI in any way. Whether you like it or not, it’s coming and it’s going to change how the world works. Better to hop on early and not be left behind
Everything that directly impacts your life— affordability, safety, cultural stability— all of it is downstream from immigration. The choice to vote for a Democrat Party committed to opening our borders to the world is a choice to commit civilizational suicide.
The Republican Party needs to roll out its own affordability agenda and it needed to happen yesterday.
We cannot let Democrats own this issue and sell an entire generation on socialism because we’re too busy talking about foreign conflicts in faraway lands and not kitchen table issues.
We can bring prices down on everything across the board. Here’s how:
Cut government. Cut taxes. Cut regulations. Cut entitlements. It would fix affordability overnight. You know, the things actual conservatives have been fighting to do for decades.
But a huge portion of our party decided to go with economic populism instead. Trump made entitlements untouchable. And now those same populists are demanding prices come down when they’ve cut themselves off from actual provable solutions.
I’m thankful for Trump in many ways. But he’s not perfect. I suggest we borrow Trump’s fighting spirit and will to win—and use that to push actual conservative policies that have been proven to work a million times.
One of the problems with this claim is that virtually no Republican was making "the affordability crisis is fake" arguments during the Biden years. It's extremely transparent to everyone that the unwillingness to acknowledge these obvious economic challenges is at least partially politically motivated.
The second problem is that, no matter how thrifty your family might be, and no matter how cheap your homemade burritos, the significant rise in grocery prices over the past 6 years -- and the fact that the rise is continuing, not stopping, and certainly not reversing -- is just a mathematical reality. It can't be denied. It is a fact.
Grocery prices have gone up by 30 percent or more this decade. I'm happy for you if your family isn't significantly impacted by this problem. But it is real. And it is a problem. And conservatives better come up with an answer that isn't just "learn how to make cheap burritos" or we will get absolutely crushed. That's another reality.
@auren It is a very broad filter set by Apple that triggers often. I think the LAN access filter set by Apple is too broad and should be split up, but if you don’t want it accessing stuff you can just but don’t allow
@RetroMike85ttv@KittenByKitten This is a bit different. People aren’t buying physical music because they hate streaming. It’s because it’s a cool and trendy thing to do. All while still keeping their Spotify subscription. If money is tight, I’m keeping Spotify and ditching physical any day
@KittenByKitten How do you watch on a plane, in a hotel, etc? Unless you have the technical know how (and even more money) to spend making a server to host all this it makes no sense
@KittenByKitten How so? Maybe for movies? But tv series. Streaming make so much more economical sense. You’d spend exorbitant amounts buying full series. And you’d have to take the physical media and a player with you if you wanted to watch anything outside of your home.
@ivvanex I just can’t get over the fact that people are so upset about this. Like it’s video games. Arguable one of the least important things in life. Who cares???
