@bullockleeds@AlanLUFC_@R9Rai Why would Farke lie about him having a knock whilst in the same presser calling Gnonto out admitting he didn’t have an injury. Honestly tin foil hat brigade is mental.
@fm2dsdh4t5 @tomo_w94 So if teams get promoted should they be able to stop playing players and just cancel their contract for free? Can’t just work one way. Ps he was signed for our U21s last year who didn’t get relegated.
@FI_IPOSCOUT @FPL_Dalton @GrahamSmyth Yeah I don’t agree with the decision like but he’s paid to make them decisions and lives and dies by them so it is what it is I guess.
@FPL_Dalton @GrahamSmyth Hardly a mysterious injury is it, was injured against Shrewsbury, Farke didn’t wanna risk him but said he felt he had to. If he’s aggravated that injury it may not even be an option to have him in squad now. Wait for actual reporters to say something before jumping on bandwagon.
@ReaperOfBKN @Pitbulls_Ghost @toad_elland He’s under contract for 4 years, he is valued at whatever the 49ers and Farke say he’s worth to them. If that’s not met then he will stay. Really quite simple. If he wasn’t very good, we can’t decide we will ignore the contract and refuse to pay him so he should honour it too.
@Marshal16204476@LUFCMOTcom Agreed need a striker in ASAP, also bit of bad luck too though. Bamford we obvs knew would spend more time injured than not but for Rutter and Joseph to get injured same time was bad luck. Still needed one in but it’s bit of both currently.
@Marshal16204476@LUFCMOTcom Fair enough, thought he was worth more of a shot in the cup to see level he’s at. But playing a 10 up top when unproven at senior level could work out worse than Gelhardt tbf.
@Marshal16204476@LUFCMOTcom Who you changing Gelhardt for then? Can’t see many alternatives to Gelhardt atm. Not ideal obvs but first 4 choice strikers are injured / refusing to play.
@matt_saunders_@mcgrathmike Think it leaves a sour taste to all involved doesn’t it. When we’ve been linked with players who’ve done this before it puts me right off them tbh.
@GibraltarToffee@mcgrathmike@MatthewKneale1 Not really sure what euros has to do with it. He broke into his national side playing for Zurich so champ would be fine. Only problem with Euros now is hopefully we let him rot in reserves if you don’t pay the going fee.
@EthanFromOnline Definitely not, just glad to see we’re taking a strong stance which should hopefully see us get enough to cover 2 players (and presumably the excess wages vs Gnonto’s).
@NorthernEater@leedsthat@PhilHay_@TheAthleticFC Huge talent, like Gnonto. But terrible advisors will ruin them both. Just think when was last time City for example purchased anyone with this sort of thing on their record, or Liverpool for that matter. They want quality players WITH good character.
@TotallyLeeds I wouldn’t take it at face value. They’re putting forward a strong stance to say we won’t be held to ransom but if a decent offer comes in they’ll accept it I’m sure.
@NorthernEater@leedsthat@PhilHay_@TheAthleticFC Yeah rejected Bournemouth last year didn’t he, then at end of window when he realised no other prem interest tried to beg going there on deadline day and ended up at Galatasaray haha
@EthanFromOnline Agree with the fact we should sell. Money would be better used on squad than keeping him. What does leave a sour taste is being held to ransom. I get it’s football now but hate how they live by a different set of rules. You’ve signed a contract stop being a baby and abide by it.
