The Canadian mainstream media is giving Carney the biggest open ice EVER in recent political history.
Punishing food inflation? Housing starts falling? Bigger deficits than Trudeau? They don’t care.
They even write articles about Canada being worse off than Alabama but act like it happened all of a sudden - like the weather.
Meanwhile, Carney hasn’t removed a single anti-development law, or approved a single new project out of his Major Projects office.
His response to food inflation is a recycled Trudeau policy that didn’t work back then.
He promised during the election that he would get a deal on US tariffs and so far things have just gotten worse.
Meanwhile, the media gush over trade deals that have already been signed by previous governments, regurgitate Liberal spin as headlines, and spend more time scrutinizing the opposition than the government.
We all know the Liberals subsidize them. But the Parliamentary press gallery could at least pretend to be objective by telling the truth on Carney’s actual results versus his rhetoric.
This is vile racism, period.
By posting this Donald Trump is promoting racism, and confirming that he is mentally unstable.
Time for Republicans in Congress to find their spines and stand up to the madness.
It is unacceptable for the U.S. to seize the territory of a sovereign country, including by threatening tariffs on other NATO countries.
Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark and we support its territorial integrity.
Conservatives support NATO and Canada’s obligations as a NATO member.
Canada should strengthen the NATO alliance and rebuild our own forces in the Arctic to combat threats also coming from China and Russia and to protect our seas, skies and soil.
Former Canadian Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper says that what Trump has said and done to Canada has been a “wakeup call,” adding that Canada can no longer rely on the U.S. and must diversify its investment and trade partners.🇺🇸🇨🇦
He has gone too far.
Trump arbitrarily, without legal authority, imposes tariffs on longstanding allies to compel the annexation of an ally’s sovereign territory.
This cannot stand.
Europe and the UK should respond with strength and unity by imposing counter tariffs. And all of Denmark’s NATO allies, including Canada, should respond by contributing troops to the joint military exercises in Greenland.
The free world cannot abide economic warfare as a tool of territorial aggression.
If the response is weakness and disunity, he will exploit it.
A year ago he said that he would use “economic force” to “annex Canada.” He is now doing exactly that to annex a neighbouring ally.
We should respond with confidence that he is only about to get weaker. The US Supreme Court is very likely to overturn Trump’s emergency tariffs within days or weeks. And Trump is almost certain to lose control of Congress a year from now, effectively making him a lame duck.
If we do not act together to respond to this bullying, it will embolden him to go even further.
It’s ongoing scenes like this, where laws are clearly being broken in front of police and they don’t respond or make any arrests, only seem to validate Mayor Chow’s recent comments about stand down orders given to police to not charge those who continue to break the law.
This is my issue. I’d be okay with accelerating select projects if they were willing to fix the systemic issues with duplication and approvals, but they’re not. Instead, we get cherry picked projects for political purpose. How does this send a market signal of sustainability?
In raising Canada’s tariff by an additional 10% because he’s upset about a factual ad running a couple extra days, Trump proves that his tariffs have nothing to do with security threats or fentanyl… it’s all about his ego.

I’m gutted to hear that Beverly Thomson has died. Bev came to my house in 2015 to interview me about women’s health. As she spoke, my cats sought her out to sit with her. They sensed how special & kind she was. My sincere condolences to all who loved her. This loss hurts.

After promising they’d approve sixplexes city-wide, then voting against them at Council, Toronto was given 6 months to meet its housing deal with Ottawa.
But families can’t wait 6 months. Builders can’t wait 6 months. The crisis is now.
The previous housing minister warned of $30M in lost funding. The new one is still giving extensions…
It's time for real leadership—not more expensive delays.

His favourability is stable (41% positive, 41% negative), and the Conservative vote remains solid.

40 years since the largest terrorist attack in Canadian history. Today, at the #AirIndia182 Memorial, we remembered the victims of terror. From that fateful day 40 years ago, to victims of terror ever since.
On this National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, we remember these souls and resolve to fight terrorism at home and abroad, in all its forms.
Today marks the 40th anniversary of the Air India Flight 182 bombing, where 329 innocent lives were lost - most of them Canadians. It remains the worst terrorist attack in our history.
On the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, we pause to remember and mourn those who have lost their lives to hateful and violent ideologies. We honour those who have died for our country fighting for our freedom against terrorism at home and abroad, and vow to never back down in the fight against terrorism and hate.
"Where have our institutions been? The people who make our venerated Canadian Heritage Minutes profiled the construction of Maple Leaf Gardens. But not Flight 182’s 280 Canadian victims." My column for the @OttawaCitizen: https://t.co/FAntotrBIe
Today, we honour the resilience, ingenuity, and heritage of Indigenous Peoples—whose traditions, knowledge, and connection to the land shaped Canada.
Conservatives are committed to empowering Indigenous Peoples to take back control their destiny. Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day!
