In early August in 2018 Demaryius Thomas and I sat on the grass on the Broncos practice field for almost two hours. We talked about life, what we were reading, the new diet he was trying in an effort to keep his body, which was breaking down, on the football field. Toward the end of that conversation we talked about the possible end of his Broncos career, which he knew was possibly coming and actually did with a trade to the Texans a couple of months later. He struggled with the fans perception of him. He was open about how it bothered him to the point it impacted how he played. He didn't really understand the boos the last couple of years as he struggled with drops and was slowed by a number of injuries. I'll never forget him looking at me and asking, "What do you think my legacy will be here?" I told him that I think he'll go down as one of the greatest players to ever wear a Broncos Uniform. I don't know if he believed me and I've always hoped that he did. Sunday DT will be inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame ... as one of the greatest Broncos ever. I pray he can hear the ovation. That he can feel the love. That he will have that question answered.
JJ Redick is the real deal. Lakers offense is playing with so much motion. So many different layers to their actions. And AD has been unlocked. Similar roster, new process. Redick is the difference.
James Worthy on LeBron: "When you're battling 5 on 8, it takes time to conjure up that momentum again (in OT). ... That was not a hard thing to do (call the foul). It almost seemed like their (refs) egos were in this game. They need to check that. They SUCKED tonight."
“…I watch basketball every single day. I watch these games every single day. I dont see it happening to anybody else. It’s weird.”
