Just some reflections on my heightened awareness of what needs to be most important to me as I continue on my journey….

I’ve spent everyday since 7/28 with my 92 year old Dad. We call him Big Clint. He plays much bigger than 5’7”! 😎

He’s a walking exclamation❗️ point for aging gracefully.
He asks for help.
He accepts help.
He thanks 🙏 us for the help.
He doesn’t want to miss a moment with either Christian, Maddie, Karla or me.
He doesn’t hear that great(Karla reminds me I don’t either 😎) however he asks questions when he is confused.
He thanks us for taking the time to repeat for his clarity.

My dad is making the most of every day. He misses Mom every day however there are more smiles now and fun memories shared.

He prays for all of us and reads his devotional every morning

I hope to become the man my dad is. He’s still my hero today and will be forever.

Which brings me to this thought…. I see many of my contemporaries still chasing life or something else. We spend money we don’t have to buy things we don’t need to impress people we don’t like.

We sacrifice health and family for the accumulation of wealth and eventually most of us sacrifice our wealth to reacquire our health and families. I’ve been guilty of all of this. I made my amends years ago and have put my best focus on being kind and of service to others for the rest of my days. Some days I get it right.

One last reminder for me and maybe you……🤷‍♂️
