@benz145 A recent study discovered your movement data is just as unique as your fingerprint.
Using a headset is like broadcasting your fingerprint to every app and website you visit.
Anonymity is literally not possible in XR.
@EricPresidentVR Look at smart phones before and after the iPhone. Today we’re all using Blackberry headsets without realizing how much better the user experience could be.
@EricPresidentVR Just look at the popularity of Fortnite and TikTok dances. Imagine something like that catching on in VR. IMO VR will never go mainstream until it has cheap and easy full body tracking.
@SadlyItsBradley 1)Cheap full body tracking
2)Solutions to the Locomotion Problem: Joysticks are elegant for 2D games, but clunky in VR. We need something better
3)Real VR Games: The film camera exists but AAA devs are still making stage plays. We need games that are designed ground up for VR
@SadlyItsBradley I hope Meta starts focusing on solid hardware. Zuck has always said they put software first. I’d say it doesn’t matter how good the software is if the headset isn’t enjoyable to put on. Maybe we first need Apple to enchant the world with their headset to set the bar for good VR
@Thrilluwu The push to make VR mainstream happened too fast. The tech just isn’t good enough yet. Don’t get me wrong, I think we’re at the dawn of a revolution in computing and entertainment, but it’s going to take a a few more years for the tech and the experiences to live up to the hype.
