LUKE BRONIN, the former mayor of Hartford, will hold the Democratic Party line in an August primary. BRONIN beat Rep. JOHN LARSON, the 77-year old who has served in the House since 1999.

Thune adds that HOMAN meeting w/ bipartisan group of senators right now is a positive sign:
“We’ve been encouraging this for a while and I'm glad to see both sides sitting down. And having Homan up here being a part of that is I think a pretty big deal and recognition that we need to get this resolved.”
