@SeCanLauren@SeCanTodd@SeCan here’s a couple great newer oat varieties! AAC Neville, a short, yellow hulled white groat milling oat and yield winner of Ag Canada Melfort and Indian Head oat variety trials in 2024. Also coming soon is AAC Fedak, a white hulled milling oat.
@SeCanLauren@SeCanTodd@SeCan CDC Durango or Austenson 2.0. New to the Feed/forage barley market. And CDC Churchill malt barley. Biggest yielder in the book and growing market acceptance.
The season started very dry in NE Sask, but late moisture and cooler temps have aided crop development. AAC Starbuck VB, always a strong CWRS performer and the new AAC Stoughton VB, a very high yielding HRS wheat from #SECAN
@mattgallowaycbc I attended Second City comedy in Toronto. During an improve set where the asked for a major event prompt from the audience, I threw out colonoscopy. The 20 something comedians had no relatable context that an older comedian would have. It was hilarious.
@loopholefarms@wanyeburkett I remember getting a call from stats Canada during a difficult harvest asking about hours worked in the last week. I told him 138 hrs this past week. It took him about 5 sec to respond with “are you serious?!?” He called back every 4 weeks for the next 6 months. Grain dryers 😡.
