I’ll say it again…by 2030 wearing a polyester shirt will have the same negative stigma as smoking a cigarette does today.
Better get on the natural fiber train, specifically the COTTON train while there are still seats available!!
Quarterly earnings are one of the big problems in Agriculture, when a business goes public, farmers become there piggy bank and the shareholders become the concern.
I’m incredibly proud to be the Republican Nominee for Agriculture Commissioner!
As a young kid growing up on our family farm in Irwin County, I never dreamed that I would have the privilege of serving our state and our industry as Agriculture Commissioner. Despite the significant challenges facing American Agriculture right now, I’m proud of what we have accomplished over the past 3.5 years - from delivering historic hurricane relief, banning hostile foreign nations like China from buying Georgia Farmland, and establishing the Georgia Farmland Conservation Fund to protecting Georgia’s food supply and ensuring consumers get what they pay for at the gas pump and at the grocery store. We still have significantly more work to do to ensure the success of Georgia Agriculture, and I’m committed to working with anyone who is willing to support our state’s #1 industry.
Keep Plowin! 🚜🇺🇸
I’m in DC this week with members of our GA farm caucus working directly with the Trump Admin and our congressional delegation on the most pressing issues facing our states farm families.
⛽️ Lowering Fuel & Fertilizer prices
🚜 Passing a Farm Bill
🏡 Addressing farm bankruptcies
💰 Fixing the Ag Economy
I’m incredibly humbled to have more than 200 Georgians from all different backgrounds and every corner of our state supporting our campaign as Harper County Captains!
Grassroots support is essential to winning this election, if you’re interested in helping out you can sign up to volunteer at the link below.

Thank you so much for doing this @patrickbetdavid farming in general needs to be talked about way more often! If you ever need a farmer to come on your show and talk, feel free to reach out to me!
Farmer bankruptcies were up 46% last year.
70% of American farmers cannot afford all the fertilizer they need.
Fertilizer prices jumped from $350 per ton to $600 per ton.
We got some work to do to help support our farmers.👇🏽
Sysco’s proposed merger with Restaurant Depot means fewer options for Georgia farmers and higher food costs for Georgia consumers.
Americans cannot afford another price shock in the food supply chain.
That is why I’m calling for @FTC and @TheJusticeDept to immediately launch an antitrust investigation.
Can we just start a class action lawsuit against the US government? US Citizens v United States. Gross negligence in handling taxpayer funds would be a good start. Who’s in?
Incredibly proud of Georgia farmers like @RyanIreland7 in Turner County whose hard work, resilience, dedication and faith keep our state’s #1 industry and our ag community strong. It takes grit to do this job day in and day out, I’m grateful for the thousands of Georgia producers, like Ryan, who rise before dawn and work until after dark to provide the food, fiber, and shelter all 11 million Georgians rely on! Dr's, Lawyers, Bankers, Ceo of a company. They can all buy nice stuff, but if a Farmer does it, it really pisses people off for some reason. Never understood it.
When did living like a destitute pauper as a means to an end so input suppliers, merchants, equipment manufacturers, & end users can hit their margins become such a badge of honor for agriculture?
When will producers stand up for themselves & tell those people to go to hell…
🏆 Big win for Georgia peanuts and UGA engineering!
The Georgia Peanut Commission sponsored a capstone team from the University of Georgia College of Engineering that developed an app to help determine peanut maturity at harvest.
The team—Jacob Kilburn, Tanner Williams, Tyler Williams, and Keerthana Ramesh, advised by Kevin Wu—earned 1st place in their category at the 2026 UGA Capstone Design Showcase in Athens.
From August 2025 to April 2026, students worked to turn innovation into impact for agriculture. 🥜

Last week I joined my dear friend @GaFarmBureau President Tom McCall at the Farm Bureau office in Macon as they held a statewide day of prayer for rain with hundreds of county offices around the state participating.
The good Lord delivered for us this weekend, but we still need more rain across the state. Please continue to pray for the victims of the wildfires, for our farm families, and for more rain. God Bless & Keep Plowing!
In response to the wildfires across Georgia, I am extending the application deadline for Hurricane Helene Block Grant Program to May 11, 2026.
We would never put Georgia farmers in a situation where they would be forced to choose between responding to this current natural disaster or submitting their application for relief from last.
Food is too expensive, but it’s not the farmers making the money.
The monopolies that have rigged the system are price-gouging all of us.
It’s time to break them up.
We (American Farmers) didnt allow shit, the greedy bastards in Washington allowed it because someone shook a few dollars in there face. It doesnt take much money for a politician to sell out the American people.
