"Bill concealed his stockings under cotton khaki pants, curious what the boss would say if he crossed his legs at a morning meeting and teased a little ankle."

@SteelCityClaire It’s not for everybody! I miss the autumn leaves, and I even miss the snow, but I’ll never miss the relentless cold of deep winter or the gray, muddy days of early spring.
@DIAS We can find each other to be fake or shallow, etc., but these differences are largely superficial. The social cues and norms are different, leading to misunderstandings. Californians are deeply caring underneath, just like New Englanders. It’s a cultural language barrier.
@MinModulation A starter home will be a 1-bedroom or studio condo in a just ok neighborhood, overdue for upgrades, costing a half mil. Saving $780 per month in low risk funds averaging 4-5% annual returns, you’ll save $120k in 10 years. Monthly payment on 30 year fixed = $2,500. Hard but doable
@midwestern_ope@xruiztru This map conveys the fact that Midwesterners are more likely to leave their home states in pursuit of greener pastures than outsiders are to seek greener pastures in the Midwest. Illinois being the only pink Midwestern state is a reflection of Chicago’s appeal.
@hieywieyneue But there is no closed lane. Actually, the congested right lane says “LOS ANGELES ONLY” while the left lane says “BUMBLEFUCK NOWHERE ONLY.” People zoom ahead in the Bumblefuck lane, then cross a double solid line to illegally merge into the LA lane, contesting both lanes.
@equine__dentist Honeycrisp and red delicious have the same flaws! Both bruise too easily and get yucky too quickly in storage. Red delicious just gets mealy whereas honeycrisp gets mushy. Give me a Fuji or a Gala any day!
@kevin_nealon How kind of you to request an extra one for me, Kevin! I can’t wait to tool around SoCal in matching twinsie Teslas with my new best friend and kindred spirit, Kevin Nealon.
@tyler02020202 In 2012 I paid $960 a month for a 6 bedroom seaside estate in La Jolla, but you have to keep in mind that it did not include utilities or helipad fees, and I was making less than $250K per year blogging about skinny jeans and avocado toast.
