@BeeTEE15 They can get right back in this series if they make the necessary adjustments. It felt like as the game got on they settled down, as the bad start seemed to cost them the game. Will be crucial to start off strong in game 2.
@JameyBaskow I think they’d still want to win the series while they’re in it but as an afterthought this is a good thing. But only in that context, so this is terrible to think about right now. Tocchet said that they had goals beyond the 2nd round. They won’t give up.
@Raiderfrank65 I agree. The puck was not visible as it was under Jarry’s skate blade. Not to mention the refs weren’t even there to see the puck go over the line. it’s unfortunate the video review has come to this. They’re just shying away from the actual rule book. Really bad break for Edmonton
@Raiderfrank65 The flyers are the younger and overall better team, but the pens still have their superstars so the flyers will have to be very attention to detail. Minimal mistakes. They’re fully capable of winning game 5 but it’s a matter of playing a full 60 mins and shutting them down.
The flyers have a path to clinch as soon as Saturday
What it would take:
Thursday: Win vs Detroit
Saturday: Win vs Winnipeg
CBJ no more than 1 point in their next 2 games
NYI no more than 2 points in their next 2 games
If this happens flyers clinch a top 3 spot
@Raiderfrank65 I was at this game. I saw a lot of Martone, every shift. It feels like every game he’s getting more and more used to the NHL pace. He’s an exciting player.
