Day 2 of #DMDC featured remarks from Tiffany Tauscheck and Jeremiah Terhark, 2025 Affiliate Presidents’ Council Chair, a Congressional Panel and keynote from Sen. Deb Fischer (R-NE). We also recognized local, county, affiliate and business leaders making an impact in #DSMUSA.

Day one of #DMDC kicked off strong.

We landed in D.C. and dove into meaningful programming featuring keynote speaker Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet and the “Influencing the Hill: Best Practices for Impactful Engagement" panel.

Kelly and I are deeply saddened to learn of President Jay Byers’ passing. I had the honor of working with Jay when I was in the Statehouse and he was leading the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and I saw firsthand the deep care he had for the people of our state. He put service over self, showed up for our communities every day, and it was an honor to work with him on the issues that matter most to Iowans. Please join me in praying for Jay's wife, Katie, the Byers family, and the Simpson College community during this difficult time.
