While touring the province, I’m taking the opportunity to connect with modular housing manufacturers. New Brunswick is a leader in modular housing production, but too much of the product is being exported rather than staying here at home.
In response to the 25% tariffs on Canadian goods announced by United States President Donald Trump we are prepared to defend and support New Brunswickers and help end these tariffs through a number of immediate measures including:
• Directing NB Liquor to cease purchasing U.S. alcohol and to remove their products from the shelves.
• Reviewing the government’s procurement and stop the signing of deals with United States companies, except for critical services for New Brunswickers that cannot be immediately replaced.
• Having Opportunities NB and the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour finalize, in line with federal support, programs to support workers and entrepreneurs. Details are to be announced soon.
• Reviewing internal trade barriers to strengthen the Canadian economy in collaboration with federal, provincial and territorial governments.

On October 21st, @susanholt made history when she was elected the first woman Premier of New Brunswick! Since then, the Premier and her dynamic team of MLAs and Ministers have been hard at work to deliver on their commitments to creating a brighter future for New Brunswickers. None of this would be possible without YOUR support! To express her gratitude, Premier Holt will be visiting a community near you to meet with Liberal members and say thank you! Everyone is welcome to attend and to celebrate the history we made with our local teams and supporters.

Thank you, New Brunswick! 🌟
