@biblicalmindmag@rwnicholson_ The "hebraic mind" is fact deeply indebted to Egyptian, Hittite, Assyrian, Persian and Greek thought. Cultures have always absorbed and adapted such that there is no 'pure' culture.

In college Alistair Begg encouraged a group of us to finish our homework on Saturday so we could rest on Sunday. I raised questions about sabbatarianism, etc. & in his Scottish brogue he said, "Brother, if Moses & Chick-fil-A need a day off, so do you."
That settled it for me.
I think this really started a great conversation. It always takes work to translate clearly, but it's worth the effort. And if we expanded to ten or more words, we might add hesed, torah, šuv, yadah...
