Recently, former Commander British Forces Gibraltar, Cdre Tom Guy RN, paid a visit to RNGS to award 2 General Service medals, and recognise a long service and good conduct achievement and a promotion! BZ to SLt Studholme, PO Scragg, LS Mansell and AB Jackson. @MODGibraltar
Recently we conducted a joint Medical Exercise (MEDEX) with the Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA) in order to develop our interoperability with local emergency services. We greatly benefited from the experience and we look forward to more opportunities! Thanks team @MODGibraltar

*Shadowing the shadow fleet*
RNGS have continued to provide support to wider NATO maritime security operations in the Mediterranean. Working closely with our allies to provide information on Russian Flagged “Shadow Fleet” vessels transiting through the straights of Gibraltar.

The recent poor weather had washed lots flotsam and rubbish ashore on Western beach. Members of RNGS decided to dedicate their time to clean the beach ahead of more incoming sunshine in #Gibraltar

Great effort team
There are extra eyes watching the waters of the #Rock after personnel from @RNGibSqn qualified on Parrot surveillance drones.
The squadron devised short cuts to existing regulation which should speed up drone use across the RN.

Following on from our support to the French Armed Forces seizure of the sanctioned Russian-Flagged tanker MV Grinch, RNGS successfully contributed to further NATO maritime security operations by monitoring a Russian Ropucha-Class landing ship and the MV Sparta IV. @MODGibraltar
