“I want our streets to be safe, our schools to be safe, and for the law to apply equally to everyone,” Ruzic said in a statement. “It is clear from this overwhelming groundswell of support that Loudoun wants that too.” News articles up about the support our campaign is receiving. We deserve a Loudoun that’s safe and fair. Let’s do this.

First financial statements of the campaign. More important than the money is the nearly 150 people who care enough about Loudoun and the rule of law to donate this early, over 100 of which did so in the form of small donations under $100. Thank you so much to everyone who believes in our message of a safer, fairer Loudoun!

Congressman Subramanyam is 100% right. We need local officials willing to conduct independent investigations of federal agents who break the law. Loudoun deserves a Commonwealth’s Attorney who will hold everyone accountable, even if they work for the President.

Thank you Dulles Dems for letting me speak at your meeting last night about my campaign for Commonwealth’s Attorney and how we can make Loudoun safer!

Honored to be asked again to lecture at the Oliver Hill/Samuel Tucker Prelaw Institute. Put on by the Virginia State Bar, the Institute reaches future lawyers at an early age to provide them with exposure and opportunity to explore the legal profession.

America is unique among the nations of the world because unlike all other nations we are not united by a shared racial identity, religion, or ancient history. We are united by shared ideals. Freedom is not inherent or inherited, we have to fight for it. Let’s fight for it today, and every tomorrow to come. 250 years in, we’re not done.

Attended the end of the year party for Loudoun’s Virginia Women Attorneys Association this Tuesday. I was delighted to see my friend Judge Rachel Robinson honored for her achievements and the group was kind enough to hear me talk about my plans to make our community safer as Commonwealth Attorney.

Meeting of the Democratic Party of Virginia’s central committee today. I’ve served on it for awhile now and let me tell you, we are going to win all three of the proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution; protecting marriage equality, protecting reproductive freedom, and restoring voting rights!

Another Law Camp, a wonderful legal training program given to high school students for free and organized by myself and many other local attorneys, successfully in the books! Thank you to Supervisor Turner, all our volunteers, and congratulations to all the incredible students! They did so good!

Loudoun’s Commonwealth’s Attorney refuses to say he’ll enforce the law banning”ghost guns”, 3D printed guns that avoid all tracking and restrictions, and a source says he doesn’t plan to. Prosecutors shouldn’t pick and choose which laws they’ll enforce just like they shouldn’t pick and choose who those laws apply to. Loudoun deserves better.

Spent yesterday evening with Supervisor TeKrony and Mayor Littleton of Middleburg at the Upperville Progressives Club meeting. It was wonderful meeting folks there and it was very kind of them to let me introduce myself and talk about how we can build a safer Loudoun by putting the law first.

First day of law camp! Law Camp provides a week of free legal training to local high school students from lawyers and judges. Today I gave a lecture on evidence and objections. They had a lot of great questions, we’ve got some sharp kids in Loudoun!
