@ShamsCharania This is such a good trade for Denver. Get basically the same caliber player and shed nearly $35 million in salary over the next two seasons. Huge move to help avoid the second apron and stay in contention.
@jordanhanna02 I agree. If he can do everything he did well in college and develop a consistent 3 he’ll have a great chance at success. I wouldn’t sleep on John Tonje either.
Not every great college player will be a hit in the draft, but the majority have been able to contribute at a high level. Teams should look past age when evaluating talent. As we see kids opt to stay in school during this new era of college sports, we’ll see if that affects the NBA’s draft evaluation process. Which 3+ year college star is a sleeper pick in tonight's NBA Draft?
Malcolm Brogdon (2016)
Draft Slot: 36th Overall
Final Year Stats/Accolades: 18.2pts|4.1r|3.1a|.9s 45.7/39.1/89.7
ACC POY | Consensus First Team All-American| ACC DPOY | 3x All-ACC
In college, Brogdon could score at will from all three levels while manning up your best defender. Since then, he has won ROY and a 6MOY award while contributing to winning teams. Injuries have derailed his career a bit, but there’s no doubt he has had a successful NBA career and should have gone higher.
Dan Campbell slipped this gem into his weekly radio interview with 971 The Ticket: “We got 11 games left.” 😏
The Lions are 8-1, and:
•8 regular season games remain
•First round bye
•2 NFC playoff games
•Super Bowl
