Nice to be out in the South Leicestershire sunshine too. 🌞
A much closer result than I could have ever have hoped for, but gutted to say that I didn't quite get enough to win yesterday. It's been a thoroughly enjoyable experience, met some fantastic people along the way and made some genuine new friends who I owe a lot to.
And... we're done! Thank you to all the lovely people I've spoken to throughout the day and John, Mark and Alison for keeping me company at the Polling Stations! Onto the count...

There are two votes tomorrow! Not only for myself, but also our excellent candidate for Police & Crime Commissioner @Rupert_Matthews. If both elected, we'll work together to tackle Anti-Social behaviour, burglaries & he will help to improve the visibility of Police on our roads.
Everyone hates roadworks, but making sure our infrastructure is the best it can be for our roads and public service is vital moving forward. I want to ease congestion and work for better air quality along our roads #election2021#Leicestershire#Blaby#Glen#Parva

Leicestershire County Council is the lowest funded Council in the country. Working with Leicestershire MPs to increase the funding from Government means increases in services without increases in council tax to pay for it. Vote Conservative to fight for a fairer funding deal.
The Conservatives at Leicestershire County Council have always protected the most vulnerable, including keeping major services open during the pandemic and giving free school meals to children before it was a national policy. Vote Conservative on May 6th #election2021
