Let's be honest, Rashford could leave United and join a club that is challenging for titles and Champions Leagues. He could have a cracking post-United career, but I do wonder, even regardless of what he may win, if he'll look back on his time at United with regret.

World at his feet, so to speak. Local lad, the 'face' of the club he's supported all of his life and in a position that millions of us couldn't only dream of. His breakthrough in to the first team is the epitomy of what United's academy is all about.

A player with Rashford's story needs to only do the sheer basics to get the relentless backing of the fans. But unfortunately, his attitude, body language, questionable mentality and his off the field antics have lead to this decision feeling like the right call and somewhat inevitable. He's been the architect of his own downfall.

We're at a pivotal moment here, a new structure and manager that are showing real ruthless and cut-throat leadership. Something we haven't had for over a decade and it's about time we got onboard with that and put some trust in the on-field decisions that are being made.

I wish Rashford the best and while I'm sad that it didn't work out how we all hoped it would, I can't say I'll be upset to see him leave.
