Thank you @UGAPharmacy for this honor. As you can read in the story, my favorite part of pharmacy school has been meeting incredible fellow students. โI felt like I was showing up to an all-star game every day, and thatโs what makes this place so special.โ
This Saturday, First Honor Graduates Ryan Bok and Bayleigh Carver - graduating with a 4.0 GPA - will each lead a line of their fellow classmates into Stegeman Coliseum for the Collegeโs Commencement Ceremony.

One of the highlights of my cardiology rotation was seeing a CABG!๐ซ While making a radial artery graft, the surgeon was just casually explaining to me how he was basically trying to hit the green in 2 on a par 5 from 230 yards out over water. I love the golf analogies!
Iโm excited to say that Iโll be heading to @WVUHPharmRes for PGY1 training! โฐ ๐ต๐ก Iโm thankful for the mentorship of @blandman19 and the many other faculty and fellow students at @UGAPharmacy who have positively impacted me over the last four years! #MatchDay2022
We owe our ability to compete at this level to our college's clinical faculty, who prepare us not only to pass licensure exams but also to practice at the top of those licenses, and experiential faculty, who ensure that we get the best rotations in the state.
On the same day the Dawgs play in the SEC Championship, David Perez and I were honored to be in red and black representing @UGAPharmacy in the ASHP National Clinical Skills Competition. We gave everything we had for UGA! #GoDawgs#ATD
Are you ready to review some autonomic nervous system pharmacology? Rank these vasopressors in the NAPLEX Question of the Week. https://t.co/kO4O5VlVZg #accessmedicine
My favorite bug ๐ฆ (controversial opinion) makes an appearance in our question this week. Can you interpret this Gram stain? https://t.co/km9ZqvXXdA #accessmedicine
Excited and proud to announce that our team will be renewing the NAPLEX Question of the Week with McGraw Hill for 2022! If you have benefitted from the question of the week, please share as you see fit. Thank you! https://t.co/WfgEAlCydT #accessmedicine#naplex
The medication recommendations following percutaneous coronary intervention are some of the more difficult to remember. Are you up to the challenge in this question on dual antiplatelet therapy?

This evening's @ACCP poster session provided a great opportunity to present @ugac3 research on fluid stewardship. Thank you to members of @accpcritprn who dropped in to listen and ask questions via Zoom.
@blandman19@UGAPharmacy I canโt help but point out that tomorrowโs antimicrobial stewardship edition of #PHRM5880 is scheduled very ironically in relation to that Tennessee-South Carolina matchup.
5) The term HCAP continues to get thrown around. The latest guidelines recommend "abandoning" this categorization because it leads to use of broader antibiotics without improvement in outcomes. Pneumonia is CAP, HAP, or VAP.
This past week I was able to put up a CAP & HAP board in the ICU at Candler. I tried to include several points I noticed on my ID rotation earlier this year.
4) In stewardship we're really good at wanting to get therapy narrowed, so I was surprised when I was told that double covering Pseudomonas in HAP is something "we don't do enough". This is indeed recommended in patients with Pseudomonas risk factors or high risk for mortality.
