@CUSportsTurf@Tar_Heels_Turf .5 lbs for the quick release we put out yesterday.
Always shoot for 1lbs/1000 of N for the Lebanon - last about 10 weeks
For summer we shoot for 1lbs N / 1000 for the ATS - last about 5/6 weeks
Total for summer is about .25 lbs of N a week
Total for rye is about .15 a week
@CUSportsTurf@Tar_Heels_Turf Today we went with Yara 21-7-14 100% quick release to give it a jump while we have 90 degree weather. Also due for our regular fert program of Lebanon 20-0-25 100% slow and ATS 22-3-11 50% slow
Quite the learning experience! We’ll make improvements for the next field but can’t wait to see the results at football practice. Improved drainage, firmer, faster, leveled, and smoothed the transition back flat with the artificial surrounds are just some of the perks will see
Practice Football looks a little different here at UNC. Fraise Mowed, Aerated, Top-dressed and put out some Fertilizer. Can’t wait to see the results here soon!
Kenan Stadium is ready for some @UNCFootball! Smooth conversion back to a football field and all good to go to finish out spring ball. As always @CarolinaGreenCo knocked it out of the park
Going to be back ready for UNC Football before you know it! @earthworksturf triple 3 as a preplant then a roll and water right after it’s laid. GameOnGrass Tahoma in perfect condition from @CarolinaGreenCo
@UKsportsturf@Tar_Heels_Turf Haha very unusual for us here this early so we’re trying to make the most of it! Hope it stays for us and heads yalls way soon!
4 direction verticut and lowered the height to .400 on the half of the field not getting replaced. Looking to get as much sunlight into the canopy as possible. A week in the mid 90s will help a bunch to push the Bermuda! Back to football by Saturday!
@BananaBall_ weekend in Kenan was a blast! Great people to work with. Not only do they care about a great fan experience but also the experience of their host.
One of the cool parts about this project is getting to test out different packing clays we haven’t used before on the mound and home plate. Would look to use these in our bullpens and at softball
