@ChrisEconomist War in Middle East hasn’t ended it’s in a holding pattern with no end in sight. In fact it’s got worse since mid July…nothing much following through SOH and now Red Sea also. Government needs limit their spending and do a fuel excise extension if they want to keep inflation down

@TheKouk Really Not Alarming!! The final budget surplus of John Howard’s last term ( 2006-07 financial year) was an underlying cash surplus of $10.8 billion. In 20 years Australia has gathered 1 trillion in debt. Gov spending has been out of control since Covid. It’s an economic disaster!

@sentdefender Oh, thought that happened 5 days back. They are clearly not hitting back with the intensity they did in March. That intensity has been shown only to Bahrian and Kuwait. UAE in particular has been completely missed out, very different to March when UAE was their hot target.

@tompanos 3 years back Labor was also in trouble in Victoria. Dan Andrews saw WA and QLD being won with Covid freebies. He did the same, won and bankrupted Victoria. Freebies have started again 50% metro, 20% rego, watch this space. Covid gave Labor the licence to economic vandalism.
