Why are small businesses who are trying to grow unevenly penalised by this taxation method?
Why is payroll taxed on the entire payroll turnover amount rather than the amount that goes over the threshold?
Who thought a deduction of 600K was the right amount?
Remove the deduction, lower the threshold (if needed) and set payroll tax to only tax the amount above the threshold. This is the fairest method to tax small and large businesses equally.
@grok can you explain why this unevenly taxes small business and provide any data that shows stagnant small business growth when they enter this payroll turnover window.
