@KhaledMAlasmari@khayyatz Irony is that it does not actually solve the fact that there are errors.
Instead of a quick crash + error trace, the error propagates to some random point in the codebase making it a pain to debug.
No way I'm touching the hot mess which is JavaScript again w/o TypeScript.
@KhaledMAlasmari@khayyatz The thing is, JS was designed 'to avoid runtime errors'
Someone thought it'd be a good idea to add unintuitive operator overloads rather than crashing, or make it trivial for some discrete _undefined_ to blow up your code out of nowhere.
@rayed1420@KhaledMAlasmari@FaisalBinHasan_@Fcitsocial @FCITculture I wanted to speak back then, yet to talk about something beyond tech/internships/university.
I started university right after, and my time flew out the window 😄
But when you tagged me last week, I realized that I could put all the pieces together into something worthwhile.
@KhaledMAlasmari Depends, I see the concept thrown around a lot from frontend guys online
Perhaps your '"UX Specialists" are only showing the interesting parts, or don't know this is a thing.
Also, its not something that's easy to show
Web Accessibility is something most people don't really think about until they need it 👨🦯.
People who can't properly use the web are softlocked from day to day life.
For screen readers, it's important to add text that's more descriptive than just "yep this be image".

Sorry for the technical issue 07:00-36:00 where the screen turned black. Luckily, the sound stayed clear!
There is quite a bit you can do as a web dev to make your site accessible, from good contrast, to sensible forms, proper layout, semantic HTML, buttons instead of <a>, and more.
Lint suggestions like this is one of the many things I love about React.
Thanks to Dr. Rayed and Dr. Bukhari for allowing me to talk for the second time with the students of #CPIT221.
I hope you all have become inspired by my talk, or have learnt something new!
Looking forward to joining you again next year!
Salam #CPIT221 & Interested Ones
My honor to host @Ryan_Samman_ in a conversational session to share his worthy experience!
Ryan is #1 student I'm so proud of! He was a normal student like others. Within 1 semester, the old Ryan's version was blown up!

@rayed1420 I had an idea for a talk for quite a while - "Beyond CPIT221".
I have been doing some interesting things throughout the past year that I want to share, as well as talk about Goals, Self-Learning, and more in relation to CPIT221.
Afterwards, we can make time for questions!
@rayed1420 What I realized recently after getting my first internship at Tamara - and transferring to Waterloo - is that a place is defined by the people within.
There are several things beyond university that have been on my mind that would be interesting to talk about!
@rayed1420 I loved the idea for this! In the previous year, we had this task instead of the final weekly writing.
At that point, I did not need to complete the task for marks, but for myself!
I can say this - it definitely caught my interest!
