@DrunkGalloway@TXRUpdates Yeah man fuck the owners for wanting to protect their investments from things that could potentially stop them from playing for the team they are paid to play for.
@MattMsully23m@SNewfootballfan@PatMcAfeeShow@JeffPassan A large reason small market teams ,other than that bitch ass pirates owner, don’t spend is because it can get way out of hand quickly. A cap and floor makes revenue easier to predict and having a better understanding of your budget makes spending money a whole lot easier.
@AndyBSplash@RapSheet Most teams are owned by 1 rich guy in a medium to small market. The Dodgers are owned by a group of rich people in the biggest market in the entire world. They have infinitely more money than any team and no small market will ever be capable of competing regardless of spending.
@AustinsChats @brian_t04 @MLBONFOX One cannot exist without the other. A floor just raises the average salary. It doesn’t promote owners to spend more on big name free agents.
@KINGCloud37@BarstoolHubbs If you implement a floor it won’t do anything but raise bad players salary. Cheap owners will still be cheap and their teams will still be bad unless you add a cap as well. That could incentivize cheap owners to spend because it won’t cost them as much as it does now to compete.
