It’s not a real family vacation unless there’s at least one #D2FB stop along the way.

This year, that stop was Carnie Smith Stadium in Pittsburg, Kansas, home of “The Jungle.”

Walking through the stadium, it’s impossible not to appreciate the history.

Named after Carnie Smith, who coached the Gorillas to NAIA national championships in 1957 and 1961, it’s home to a program that has won four national titles overall and more games than any other team in Division II history.

Seeing it in person was worth the detour, but now we want to come back on a fall Saturday and experience the Jungle the way it was meant to be...with a full house and football in the air.
