Hurricane Rafael (now a Category 2) will likely not directly effect the United States
Rip current activity and wave heights along the coast of Texas could be effected. Most major activity will occur around Western Cuba, Southern Mexico, and Central America.
As of 10pm this evening Tropical Storm Rafael formed.
The National Hurricane Center suggests it could become a Hurricane by Wednesday.
While there is still a lot of uncertainty it’s possible Rafael could make landfall sometime this coming weekend.
