“His response has been to appeal for rage. That’s his response to a father who has lost his son and asked for that not to happen. Exploiting this tragedy to create grievance and division would be wrong in any circumstances but to do it when the family are expressly saying please don’t is unforgivable. It shows exactly who he is”
Keir Starmer responds to Nigel Farage at #PMQs
Farage could have been in Parliament today, doing his job, and ask any question he wanted of the Home Secretary about the tragic Henry Novak case.
Where was he?
Instead he hides behind pre-recorded rage-bait videos. Coward.
Reform accounts posting “Uniparty” are actually missing the point here entirely.
Being polite to people is an inherently British trait. It’s a good thing.
I don’t want our politicians unable to have a conversation without screaming at each other or being verbally abusive.
Zack Polanski has claimed "two-party politics is dead", while also saying "the new politics is the Green Party versus Reform", an odd numerical mistake for someone who has 'Head of Quantum Mathematics at NASA' on their CV
This headline makes it sound as if the Reform Cllr wanted Nigerians to do the road maintenance.
The actual quote was “the amount of Nigerians in town.
Should melt them all down and fill in the pot holes!!”
How on earth could Tice not bring himself to condemn that?
commiserations to our two fantastic councillors in sheldon, cllr paul tilsley CBE and cllr colin green. cllr tilsley has served the city magnificently for 52 years, as lord mayor and as deputy leader of the council for 7 years. first elected in 1968. a huge loss for birmingham.
You can actually see the moment Ed Miliband thinks, what's the point burning through whatever political credibility I've got left energetically defending a man who's going to be gone in a matter of weeks.
🚨 BREAKING: Ed Davey says Keir Starmer has to resign over Peter Mandelson's vetting process
"It looks as though he has misled Parliament and lied to the British public. If that is the case, he must go"
@LewisJWarner That is not how people vote, especially in local elections. It is as much news as saying, "In an imagined scenario, this is the imaginary result"
@LewisJWarner But this bit is the problem:
"The projected seat totals are based on a uniform swing model, applying changes in vote share evenly across all wards."
I find this viewpoint on Polanski baffling. From my view, I mostly see Polanski attacking other politicians in vitriolic terms, constantly. Fair enough, that’s politics, but pretending he has this pure message of love just seems out of touch with reality.
