The fact that the *best* PR answer available to him was "I'd rather coast as a depth guy on an already established contender than remain the captain of an upper-mid team on the rise and keep working for it" shows just how much of an easy-way-out move this is
To think... the Sens went on that run, from near death, out of the playoff picture, to one of the hottest teams in hockey and making the playoffs... with a locker room knowing their captain wasn't invested and was on his way out.
Imagine what they can do with a real captain.
@spittinchiclets Why lie? Everyone knows you’re a liar. Just be a man and say I hated being in Canada and I hated sticking it out with a mid team and wanted to move to the states so I could have an easier time winning.
Coward.
@_chstp@zman0088 why would I sell a dhgate jersey on ebay? who would even want it? why would you doubt something so insignificant? internet people are weird. fuck that guy #gosensgo
Tkachuk indicated he wasn't going to be here much longer. That's as far as asking for a trade in my book. Sens had to do something before it got out and all leverage was lost.
He bailed on his teammates. He bailed on the fans. All so he could ride to the rink in a golf cart in his flipflops with his brother. I hope he gets fat.
Ottawa - both the org and the fans - bent over backwards to make Brady Tkachuk feel like a star so he wouldn't leave. He got more grace than I ever remember a star player getting here.
Pretty clear he's motivated by things other than winning, and that's fine. Good riddance.
Brady was a great captain until this past season. This year, he prioritized the Olympics, started a dumb podcast, and played his worst hockey to date. He looked completely checked out all season.
Il me met un ace à 228. J’étais là : Fuck, je fais devoir servir.
