Con Air (1997) has a seriously fantastic cast. Seriously. John Malcovich, John Cusac, Danny Trejo, Steve Buscemi, Dave Chapelle AND Nicolas Cage with guitar solo hair!? Definitely look out for this one come Oscar season. No stars.
Started watching Twister (1996) but couldn’t get through it. Despite an excellent cast of supporting actors and Carey Elwes and the villain, it’s just people talking about the weather.
I didn’t give Get Hard (2015) a chance when it came out, but hot damn did it deliver. I feel like I’ve wasted so much time not watching everything Will Farrell ever did. Well, maybe except for kicking and screaming…
American Reunion (2012). You’d think the installment trying to give growth and nuance to a franchise that was obviously not going to age well would’ve tried a little harder to age well. If I hadn’t already skipped my own high school reunion it would’ve nailed that coffin HARD!
Empire records. Still great, quite dated but in a sweet way. Comes off the rails when Warren gets that gun, but gets sweet again when Rene Zellweger sings sugar high with Coyote Shivers; but goes off the rails again as soon as you read anything recent about Coyote Shivers.
So humbled to have the #1 spot this week on the @earshot_online folk/blues/roots chart, thank you earshot and all the radio stations playing the record! ❤️
