FUCK AI AND SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS
We are so cooked. Everyday AI content is eating up more and more market share of our eyes and ears, and it’s now basically indistinguishable from reality. If regulation is not placed SOON around copyright, we are going to loose unfathomable amounts of human creativity.
Most developing artists rely on a small project-based work to get their foot in the door in an already gate-kept industry. Being a “starving artist” is looking like it may become less and less attainable without being forced to become “proficient in ai tools”.
The pursuit of artistic excellence must be protected at all costs. It is built on hundreds of years of blood, sweat, and tears from uncredited and unpaid artists.
Yeah no, while photographers do press a button to take a picture they have to know about lighting, composition, color theory, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, formatting…. I can go on.
Do not compare using AI to Photographers.
Things to do as an artist in 2026:
- reject AI
- take breaks
- study your GOATs
- embrace challenges
- support human artists
- reflect on your progress
- consume only with intention
Things not to do:
- listen to self doubt
It has been said before, but stay on the platforms that work for you. A holes are going to be everywhere. The new feature sucks but the ones using it were people who never liked art to begin with. Nothing of value was truly lost.
Protect your peace, block and keep creating.
The AAA industry will not survive AI. They have made their own bed.
With increasing inflation, more expensive video games, and gaming PCs and consoles now being a luxury for the 1% thanks to RAM prices, people will stop buying new, expensive, hardware intensive games.
People will turn back to older games and Indie out of simple necessity. Because no one but rich kids will be able to build a PC that can run the Call Of Slop 89 Extra AI Edition (which also costs 200$ standard)
They tied their own noose with AI. And I couldn't be happier.
