Overcoming the past :

To get over the past, you first have to accept a hard truth:

the past is over.

Not forgotten.
Not erased.
Just over.

No matter how many times you revisit it, replay it, analyze it from every angle, or punish yourself for what you didn’t know back then, it does not change.

The mind keeps returning, hoping for a different ending, but the story has already been written.

The pain you feel today isn’t coming from the past itself. It is coming from dragging the past into the present.

Acceptance of the past doesn’t mean approval.
It doesn’t mean what happened was fair, kind, or deserved.

It means you stop arguing with time.
You stop asking, “Why did this happen?” And start asking, “What next ?”

The past can teach you.
It can shape you.
But it no longer has the power to hurt you, unless you keep handing it that power.

Healing begins the moment you realize:
That chapter has already closed. You are the one still standing in the doorway.

Let it be a memory, not a prison.
A lesson, not a life sentence.
