@Hectorisfunny @PaulRoberson I’m on board with that. I totally agree we shouldn’t start the xmcu the same way the comics did. I would just rather start from an already diverse standpoint than change the characters to fit. Same end goal though. But in the end it’s not a hill I need to die on
@Hectorisfunny @PaulRoberson But what is the purpose? Straight representation? What does making cyclops black ADD to the character? No it doesn’t retract either but Scott’s story doesn’t improve just because he’s black. If straight percentages is the reason I find that kind of lacking. Not against it
@Malvolio421@Hectorisfunny I think due to the MCU he has to be black exactly for the reason you said. But comic version if he debuted as a white guy nothing would be different. Same can be said of dozens of white comic book characters though. Every character has someone that idolizes them.
@Malvolio421@Hectorisfunny But I also idolized Falcon and Luke Cage. And while I whole heart believe being black is integral to Luke Cage not so much with Falcon. So can I honestly say Summers has to be white? Nope. But I would be personally disappointed just for the kid in me
@Malvolio421@Hectorisfunny I don’t have a valid argument against it. And don’t hate me but I grew up idolizing Scott Summers. He is still my favorite character ever. So yes I would be biased and upset if he wasn’t white because I identified with him. No other good reason though.
@Malvolio421@Hectorisfunny You can’t. Storm is way too important and is a strong amazing independent black woman. You have to have a diverse X-men team. So just include more than the first five
@cnr_hmmnd@PatMcAfeeShow But they don’t have the best qb in the league. They have the most athletic probably. But not the best qb. They do however have a decent young talent at wr. I think this year and next will be fine. But after that the cap monster will get em
