Just saw a question on a job application that took my breath away.
"How does your privilege serve you in this work? How are you using it to create more equity?"
Wow. That is THE question. 👏👏👏

Currently sitting in a dentist office and I was handed a form that included the following question: if I experience any mental health ‘problems’ #stigma
“Am I working towards a goal that’s going to improve my quality of life or do I just think something is wrong with me?” - something we need to continually ask ourselves in ALL contexts. (Hint: we all are forever work in progress)
When you get wrapped up in a new diet, healing practice, or wellness pursuit that seems to never end...
it might be worth asking yourself:
“Am I working towards a goal that’s going to improve my quality of life or do I just think something is wrong with me?”
Tyrannosaurus rex was a fearsome predator, but it sure wasn't a particularly fast mover.

8am: *groan* I don’t want to go on my run. I don’t think I’ll do well today.

@lunaxkitty_ I like to be direct and become my own advocate because they can see that I am just another student who wants the equal access to the classes. So that way there is no *invisible wall* between me and my professors. Student and professor relationships can make a huge impact on ourED
I came to a conclusion that it would lessen the awkward experiences if we just approach our new professors and share about our accommodations for the classes (which isn't much for me- just will be using ASL interpreters) than to have them finding out on the first day of classes
