@UnkxwnKilo@UrfrenB3nj11@bloomjpg You've been tricked into thinking this way by AAA studios who are way too comfortable shipping unoptimized, slop-filled, poorly written games. E33 revitalized a genre and swept the awards; literally not 1 person said "Yeah, but it's only $40 so it's not THAT good."
@prodkyar@UnkxwnKilo@bloomjpg Look... I've bought more than my fair share of ultimate/premium edition games over the past few years, but lets not lie about it - they're literally watering down the base game to charge extra for features/aspects that were baseline decades prior.
@UrfrenB3nj11@UnkxwnKilo@bloomjpg Basically no reasonable/sane person... I legit do not understand where this nonsensical argument is coming from after the year we got E33 and Silksong ($40 and $30) which are easily two of the best games in the past 5-10 years (and if anything their low price point was PRAISED).
@Xebenatros@bumbadum14 Worked in customer service for about 5 years and I can assure you in terms of the US, California has some of the strongest restrictions on a wide range of items that can't be shipped/sold there (due to state specific laws/regulations).
@bin66342@yellow_primal I don't disagree, but I don't think it's that alone but rather her poor communication and the after effects of it (literally a whole season/arc of Rudeus working through the trauma she caused), plus the anime is at a spot that hasn't yet fully explained/redeemed her after that.
@bin66342@yellow_primal I mean to be fair she was kind of a bastard at first, and despite some excellent character growth, she did absolutely fuck Rudeus up by leaving (despite it being a misunderstanding by the both of them). Excellent character all the same tho.
@sn84677@Ragnar__6@grok To answer your question - this is a piece of wartime propaganda, used to help troops better understand/combat the threat of diseases carried by mosquitos. There's been countless cartoons exactly like this that serve a similar function in countless countries across the world.
@kizu_skip Remakes for sure. The originals serve for some great nostalgia, but if we're being objective they're the worst games in the series and it's not even close. Horribly weak mons, awkward pacing/lvl curve, and weird dead spots (narrative/progress wise). Remakes fix 'some' of these.
@GeoHistory257@Pokemonpshot After watching so many different people on twitch/YT play the super difficult romhacks - it took me a second to process your comment lol.
@doncris007@NovithDrag2318@PixelBibleBytes You're thinking of time as a single dimension (a line); the argument is that time is a 3D figure (a ball) of events all happening concurrently (past/present/future); further adding to that argument is the concept that 'God' exist outside of time itself.
@CielaNox@AlabastionVT No flame but how/why? Unless you mean outside of the games... Gen 2 mons were so weak that over half the leaders didn't even use gen 2 as aces, having multiple choices for gym order was a huge detriment, and 2 regions was cool but led to fucky pacing.
@lingerieislove@Nytloc@Shade4090L@PochitaDaGoat Actually put it way better than I could have - but ye, I would def suggest it. It does start out a bit weird, but it kinda clears itself up quickly and def is among the better romance anime out there.
@lingerieislove@Shade4090L@PochitaDaGoat Like Love/Chunibyo, the Chuni is kind of a major plot element in how the characters deal with trauma and life difficulties, but in Dangers - it's kind of a kids just being kids sort of deal (wildly overactive imagination that course corrects with maturity/growth).
@lingerieislove@Shade4090L@PochitaDaGoat Eh not really? Again it's spoiler (but kinda minor), but it's pretty much a bait & switch - initial impression is the MC is a psycho, but then with how over the top it is, it's just him being chunni (not srs); & he kind of sheds his chunni phase relatively quickly in the series.
@lingerieislove@Shade4090L@PochitaDaGoat (Instead of being a dark hero with magical powers, his edgelord chunni nonsense is he's a 'dark killer/psycho'; which if you've seen Love/Chunnibyo, it makes even more sense given how over the top he is).
@lingerieislove@Shade4090L@PochitaDaGoat It's bait (not this person's post but the storyline/plot). Minor spoiler, but it becomes very quickly apparent that the kid is just a chunnibyo (which the middle school setting fits moreso with that in mind), and the story is him coming out of his shell/chunni phase.
@PochitaDaGoat@lingerieislove Totally fair in all of those, altho Id say if you haven't seen Saenako, Id def suggest it - imo it's the best romance of the bunch (altho w/ this only bc I think of rascal in a bit of a diff. light than the rest; it's closer to monogatari than anything else imo)
@PochitaDaGoat@lingerieislove Great picks but not ones I see people rating as their favorite too often. Most often it's like Snafu, Saenako, or even Dangers (unless it's preferring adult cast, which Watakoi usually wins out).
