(BFMTV)
More GTA 6 details from the Rockstar North previews:
- NPCs can notice when you are eavesdropping on their conversations. Following someone for too long can also make them suspicious and cause them to confront you.
- NPCs can initiate violence themselves, meaning Jason and Lucia are not always the ones responsible for escalating an encounter. Some civilians can also be armed.
- Weapons can be shot directly out of an NPC’s hand, while shooting specific limbs can incapacitate enemies without necessarily killing them.
- Masks can prevent police from identifying your appearance during a crime, even when you are captured on CCTV. Removing the mask afterward can therefore help prevent identification.
- Jason and Lucia can spontaneously suggest nearby activities or jobs to each other while exploring the world, rather than every activity beginning through a traditional map icon.
- Jason and Lucia can hold hands on command, with the same interaction also allowing them to hold doors open for each other.
- Safe houses are designed to function more like RDR2 camps than traditional GTA properties, with other characters able to visit and Jason and Lucia having their own routines while living there.
- GTA 6 features an expanded eavesdropping system where conversations between NPCs can reveal information and lead to organic interactions or activities.
- Rockstar experimented with deeper life-simulation mechanics such as grocery shopping and manually restocking the fridge, but removed them after deciding they slowed the game down too much.
- Rockstar says GTA 6 features significantly more environmental interactivity than GTA 5 and even RDR2, while still avoiding realism that would unnecessarily slow down gameplay.
- Traffic density changes depending on the time of day. During one preview, the same street became significantly busier later in the day, which Rob Nelson explained was rush hour.
- The world can generate unexpected situations from ordinary NPC behavior. Rockstar says ambient conversations and interactions can naturally develop into events without requiring a traditional mission marker.
- GTA 6 includes underwater shipwrecks that can be explored while diving, with hidden treasure and other rewards to discover.
- Painkillers can quickly restore some health, but become less effective when repeatedly used, encouraging players to use other methods of recovery.
- Jason and Lucia’s physical appearance is naturally limited by their individual body types, meaning their weight and muscle changes will not transform them into identical body shapes.
- Rockstar created a dedicated production effort for pedestrian dialogue, with writers, directors and producers working specifically on the conversations heard throughout Leonida.
- Some missions allow Jason and Lucia to be switched freely, while others restrict switching when Rockstar wants a particular character to lead a story moment.
- GTA 6 intentionally includes slower sections of the story alongside major action sequences, with Rockstar using quieter moments to make the larger set pieces feel more impactful.

New GTA 6 map details (previews):
- Once you unlock free roam after some missions, you can go anywhere on the map without barriers or restrictions
- The map is an island (Leonida) and doesn’t have a panhandle
- It’s 2x the size of GTA5 and 3x the playable area of RDR2
- Vice City is double the size of Los Santos
- The built-up area outside Vice City is 11 times bigger than the built-up area outside Los Santos
- The map is dense, with 5 counties and approximately 10 cities/towns
- There are multiple islands, and underwater exploration will feature diving equipment, shipwrecks and treasures
- The map in the pause menu is very detailed with satellite 3D imagery
- It helps you to plan a heist, as it shows buildings, gang bases, stores…etc in 3D, the loot value and the entry and exit
- When the map is zoomed out, you only see the main roads and highways, but the more you zoom in, more roads and alleys appear
- Rockstar’s goal is to make as many enterable buildings (there are hundreds of interiors)
- Areas on the map won’t be fully visible until you explore them (fog of war)
- There are many ways to fast travel around the map using public transport such as buses, trains, taxis, RydeMe app (Uber), Metromover and you can either skip the trip or talk with passenger NPCs and have full conversations or listen to the radio
- You can buy as many garages around the map but you can’t buy safe houses (Jason & Lucia’s house changes throughout the story because they’re on the run)
- Mission waypoints on the map are pink, custom ones are cyan
-Mount Kalaga located in the northern part is the highest point in the map
- You’ll be able to see heat areas on the map (an area where you committed a crime before and police will be on the lookout for you there for some time, as they actually setup a perimeter around the crime scene)
- There heat area is red and there’s an even larger area around it in lighter red
-At 6 stars, the heat area becomes map-wide
- Any building with a helipad on top will be enterable and you can explore its interior, go up either by stairs or using the elevator to reach the top floor without loading screens
🍅 Nouvelles infos GTA 6 via IGN :

HUGE number of new details about GTA 6 from previewers who saw 3+ hours of gameplay at Rockstar North. This is going to be game of the decade.
Here are the highlights:
- Rockstar says the scale of the game is unlike anything they have made before.
- The map is twice as big as GTA 5's and three times bigger than Red Dead 2's map
- GTA 6 does away entirely with the auto-aim system, now using a manual aiming system with aim-assist
- Vice City itself is reportedly twice the size of Los Santos.
- The biggest difference compared with GTA 5 is that GTA 6 constantly forces the player to make decisions and consider consequences rather than simply causing chaos without much thought.
- Actions apparently carry significantly more consequences than they did in previous GTA games.
- Rob Nelson reportedly explained that even something as basic as stealing a vehicle now involves assessing risk: carjacking someone may lead to witnesses/police trouble, while stealing an unattended parked vehicle might let you escape cleanly.
- Rockstar's intention appears to be to make the player think more like an actual criminal, rather than treating crime as consequence-free sandbox chaos.
- Criminal Profile system, NOT honor: Rockstar reportedly stresses that having a low Criminal Profile does not necessarily mean you're playing incorrectly.
Instead, the system seems to evaluate how you behave as a criminal.
- Robbing a store successfully without killing anybody and escaping cleanly can raises your Criminal Profile because you committed the crime professionally. while excessive violence lowers it.
- There apparently isn't a traditional Criminal Profile meter constantly displayed on-screen. Instead, Jason and Lucia have profile information accessible through a dedicated menu tab.
- Your criminal profile can be permanently ruined after specific actions
- Jason & Lucia have a relationship bar that can be influenced by how they treat each other through your own actions, like texting each other things or going out on dates
Focus
- Focus ability which we saw in the gameplay preview is the third major stat, similar to deadeye, it slows down time for both Jason and Lucia plus highlights valuable components of vehicles and enemy weak points
Focus is GTA 6's third major character ability/stat.
It is somewhat similar to Dead Eye and Michael's GTA V special ability, but reportedly works differently.
- Cars do require fuel, and electric cars require charging. Rockstar designed these to not be tedious
- Cash you are carrying can be lost after being arrested or dying and has to be stashed or put into an ATM, you cannot just use the phone for this.
- Fences can be visited to sell off loot from robberies, similar to Red Dead 2's fences
- Driving is reportedly heavier and less arcade-like than GTA V, feeling more like a mid-point between GTA 4 and 5
- Police no longer appear directly on the minimap and you have to use your own eyes to avoid them
- At six stars, police search across the entire map for you rather than designated search areas
- Police are reportedly considerably smarter than GTA V, Officers can intentionally shoot your vehicle's tires.
- Police can remember your appearance, car and clothes. You may have to change these in order to lose your wanted level.
- There are trackers on vehicles that need to be removed through progression with fences, or use older cars that don't have trackers
- GTA 6 reportedly contains a full in-game social media system and NPCs post content to the social network, it is part of the living world and you can see events on there then go and visit them in person
- Gyms are back from GTA San Andreas, you now have to purchase a subscription and can train for muscles. you can even buy protein shakes to boost that before workouts
- Buses and Taxis can be used for fast travel
