The chaos in the world is a direct consequence of the Russian attack on Ukraine, said Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

"The explosive situation in the Middle East and drones in the skies over Cyprus are not separate conflicts, but a direct result of the destruction of international law.

Today is the 9th anniversary of Boris Nemtsov's death.

He was killed on February 27, 2015 in the center of Moscow. In the last years of his life, Nemtsov opposed Russia's invasion of Eastern Ukraine. Before his murder he was preparing a report called "Putin. War", which was published by his supporters after his death.

🔷️What Nemtsov said about Ukraine and Putin's regime:

▪️ "Ukraine's success is a chance for Russia. We have no right to behave like this against a friendly country. It's meanness, it's insolence."

▪️ "We must say no to war. We must say enough of the marasmus. We must say: Russia and Ukraine – without Putin. Glory to Russia! Glory to Ukraine!"

▪️ From an address to the Russian military: "It's not your war. It is not our war. It is Putin's war for his power and money. It is a war of his billionaire accomplices. Remember, you are fighting and dying for them, not for Russia."

▪️ "Vladimir Putin is f**ked in the head, you know."

🔷️ Boris Nemtsov was shot in the back on February 27, 2015, in front of the Kremlin walls - in fact, close to Putin's office.

🔷️Why Putin was afraid of Nemtsov

▪️ Boris Nemtsov had great political weight in Russia. He was well known in Western countries and could negotiate at any level with Western politicians. Nemtsov's influence could consolidate a serious coalition around him, which is what the PARNAS party under Nemtsov was striving for.

▪️ Boris Nemtsov was a friend of Ukraine.
After the victory of the Orange Revolution, Nemtsov became a non-staff advisor to President Viktor Yushchenko. And after Euromaidan, Nemtsov, as a friend of Ukraine, became very dangerous for the Kremlin.

▪️ One of the reasons for the murder was his report "Putin. War" about the crimes and unleashing of war in Donbas by the Russian Federation. Nemtsov never presented the report - he was killed the day before. Nemtsov's pro-Ukrainian activities in the midst of Russia's military aggression became his death sentence.
