Dong Li Wu You (Chen Jianghe talked about Yu Shuxin in his post)
“Jiejie, our little PR genius. The first time I met Xiaolin laoshi, my first thought was, “Wow, she’s so beautiful and so adorable.” After getting to know her, she became both a wonderful mentor and a great friend to all of us, on and off set. She gave us so much help and encouragement. She was always helping us figure out the best parts of our group scenes, creating so many memorable and interesting moments. She often brought us along to film Douyin videos (so everyone got to join in and dance, haha), bought delicious food and drinks for the entire cast and crew, treated us to big meals, and even gave us those cute plushies.

Tina, a Mainland entertainment blogger who has attended hundreds of drama promotional events, shared her observations about #YuShuxin on the Road to Success set. She said Yu Shuxin does a few things almost no other actor would—things that show her sincerity, professionalism, and genuine love for her work. These moments left a deep impression on her.
Here is the translation in 4 parts:
Part 1
In the live stream someone asked about Yu Shuxin's industry reputation, so Tina used the Road to Success cast as an example and talked about three things that 100% of other artists would never do.
First thing: She openly said "No, I don't want that."
Sometimes, to keep the atmosphere lively on set, the production team likes to praise the actors. On the Road to Success set, they said, "Let's praise Yu Shuxin! Everyone shout together—Yu Shuxin, you're awesome!"
Yu Shuxin's immediate reaction was: "No, I don't want this. I don't want this."
In the hundreds of drama promotional events Tina has attended, she has never seen this happen before.
About 70% of actors, when faced with this kind of public praise, will just say "Oh no no no, I'm embarrassed."
The remaining 30% will accept it gracefully and play along for the camera.

“Xiaolin laoshi, what should I do? I’m so lost in my 20s. I don’t even know where my future is headed. ”
Xiaolin laoshi’s healing room:
“Your 20s are meant to be a rough draft. You’re allowed to make revisions. You’re allowed to leave blank spaces. You still have plenty of time to turn life into a masterpiece.”

A review from a parent that truly touched my heart. 🥹❤️
As a mother born in the 1980s, I spent this holiday watching Road to Success with my child, and it left us with so much to reflect on.
The drama tells the story of a group of teenagers who were often underestimated. They came together because of football. Though mischievous, rebellious, and constantly labeled as “problem students,” they carried a genuine passion in their hearts. With the patient guidance of their teacher and coach, they learned not to fear failure, supported one another, and gradually broke through their own limits.
After finishing the drama, my child and I had a long conversation. My child came to understand that winning or losing isn’t the most important thing. Perseverance and the friendships we build with our teammates are far more valuable, and when facing difficulties, we should never give up easily.
This drama also made me reflect on my own way of raising my child. I used to focus too much on grades and often judged my child by conventional standards, overlooking their unique strengths. Just like the title Road to Success suggests, every child is a star in their own way. They don’t all have to stand out from the crowd. As long as they are respected and understood, they can shine with their own light.
As a parent, I shouldn’t only criticize my child. Instead, I should learn to accept their imperfections, protect the passions they hold in their heart, listen more, be more understanding, and accompany them as they grow at their own pace.

Yu Shuxin: I just want to say to everyone watching that no matter what stage of life you’re in, even if you feel incredibly lost, don’t be afraid to slow down for a while. Allow yourself to pause, ease your pace, and take things one step at a time, and trust that, eventually, things will get better.

A longer version of #ZhuBoYan talking about #YuShuxin on his livestream:
“There are probably some really fun things that happened on set that I couldn’t talk about before. But now that it’s simmered enough, I can finally share this one. It’s pretty entertaining—you guys have been waiting for it, right?
Anyway, I got to ride on sister’s coattails. Sister is the type who really wants to share her energy with everyone. Haven’t you felt it? She takes such good care of all of us. Sister genuinely hopes we all keep getting better and better.
When we were filming, the emotions and bonds between us were really deep. It was everyone’s genuine feelings. Yeah, exactly that kind of feeling—you know what I mean, right? We really treated each other like teachers and team leaders. You definitely get it, right? Because back then, my own promotions hadn’t started yet.
That’s why everyone thinks our acting looks so real. Of course the script is good and the performances are solid, but the main reason is that our off-camera interactions were already like that. Sister is truly so good to us. I really think sister is amazing, and she’s incredibly generous too.
Every time we met, she would prepare little gifts for us. And when I celebrated my birthday on set, sister even gave me a birthday present—a really expensive pair of sunglasses. Yeah, a super expensive pair. I was over the moon! I can’t even bear to wear them… and they look so cool too.”
Q: Let's talk about your collaboration with #YuShuxin. How does your perception of her differ from her online image and the phenomena surrounding her?
CJK: Regarding her online image, I knew she was a very popular, trendy, cute, and lively girl. After working together, I feel that impression still holds true. What sets her apart is her sharp mind; she thinks very quickly and is quite witty. I really admire many of her ideas and her approach to work. Sometimes I find myself thinking, 'I want to learn from her, but how exactly should I go about it?' I think her personality is quite unique.
Q: When you first heard about her rise to popularity, what was your initial impression of her as a trending figure?
CJK: Because I consider myself quite trendy since I know a lot of dances—but her kind of avant-garde, fresh way of thinking is truly something special in this industry.

Among all the reviews I've read, this part hit me the hardest:
"If every drama can only be defined by popularity data, then are the dramas that don't become hits meaningless?"
No.
A drama that makes people think, cry, heal, or see themselves in a character already has meaning.
Some things matter more than numbers ever will.
#RoadToSuccess #LinWanxing #YuShuXin ❤️⚽️

you know what i’m most afraid of during the past year that shuxin experienced the insane demolition job due to fake narratives being thrown at her? it’s her losing the kind of liveliness, weirdness (in a good way) and cheerfulness. but seeing her in this promotional activities for road to success, i feel at ease she didn’t lead to losing that whimsical girl in her.
Xin Xin talked about the first time she met Wang Fa (ChenJingke) He was dressed in all black with a black hat, and his outfit looked a lot like a handsome version of Tong Ge 😂😂😂
