True. ARMYs have a way of burying things that don’t fit the image we have of them. And honestly i have to own my part in that too especially when it came to my faves.

I only found out about this now and it hurts knowing i was happily waiting for BTS to return while all of this was happening. I had no idea about the ARIRANG backlash. It never reached my tl.

Looking back i feel like i was genuinely brainwashed by the fandom bubble. I trusted the boys so much that if something didn’t affect me directly i barely questioned it.

What happened with CB woke me up and made me look at everything differently. Now i can’t stop wondering how much i never saw and how much i simply didn’t want to see.

The hardest part is realising that without even noticing i was slowly compromising my own values just to keep believing in people i loved.
