Loyalty Fully Serviced: The Curious Case of Omphile Maote !!
Political loyalty is always a serviced transaction, and the EFF playbook is a masterclass in it. Look no further than the sudden resurrection of Omphile Maotwe for the Tshwane mayoral race. The Pretoria girl is back in the ring, but let’s check the record first.
Remember the chaotic 2nd Tshwane Regional Conference? Back when local EFF branches were literally throwing stones to reject imposed leaders? It was right out of that flying debris and rubble that Omphile’s star was "miraculously" chosen to rise. A true survivor.
Back then, we were beautifully sold a cinematic dream. We were told she was going to expose the deepest, darkest secrets of Transnet and single-handedly dismantle Pravin Gordhan. "Pravin has met his match!" they bellowed. Fast forward: rest his soul, but we never even got tickets to that weigh-in. Just empty promises and loud mic checks.
Years faded into obscurity. We waited for her to shake the tables of power in Parliament. The legislative impact? Zip. Zero. Nada. Now she wants the Tshwane mayoral chains, but she’s stepping into a ring with actual heavyweight operators like Dr Nasiphi Moya and Tlangi Mogale. The road just got infinitely longer.
The poor EFF branches have been hollowed out into a squeaky, exhausted wheel, trying to claw back urban support. Grab your popcorn, folks. Let’s see if the "Supreme Leader’s" dedicated lieutenant can magically turn this political ghost town back into a live show. 🍿👻

General Lebeya unlawfully removed me and promoted General Kadwa into the position of head of Gauteng Hawks. He also promoted Senona into the position of KZN Head of Hawks. Both were appointed on 1 August in 2020. Now, these two are facing serious criminal charges and appeared at #MadlangaCommission to answer on other issues. Adulting is realizing;
1. You will die, and most people won’t care after a while.
2. People use you until you’re no longer useful.
3. Most people secretly want you to fail.
4. One day you’ll wish you started today.
5. Most people fake happiness while dying inside.
6. No one is coming to save you.
7. You’ll be judged no matter what you do.
8. Your health is your greatest wealth.
9. Happiness is temporary—discipline is permanent.
10. Success takes longer than you think.
11. No one respects weakness, even if they sympathize.
12. Complaining changes nothing.
13. Not everyone you love will love you back.
14. Money won’t solve all your problems—but it solves most.
15. Social media lies to you every day.
16. You’re replaceable at your job.
17. Life is unfair—get used to it.
18. One day, you’ll run out of days.
19. Regret hurts more than failure.
20. Nobody cares about your excuses. Work harder
The earlier you understand this, the better and easier your life gets.

After the 2024 national elections, a number of CCT members chose to leave the organisation. It was a difficult moment one that tested us emotionally, and politically. Morale was low, and uncertainty weighed heavily on many of the fighters on the ground.
In that moment, the President, @Julius_S_Malema , called us together and spoke with clarity and conviction. As reflected in the video, there was a shared understanding among us the Economic Freedom Fighters had indeed been tested but it did not fail. Rather, it was a moment that revealed both the strength and resilience of the organization.
Those who chose to depart have, as the President often remarks, gradually faded into political insignificance. Meanwhile, the movement has remained steadfast, grounded in its principles, and focused on the long-term struggle for economic freedom.
