Effective immediately, all classes for students in EICS are cancelled indefinitely. Schools are closed. All staff are expected to report to work at their school. Updates will follow once we have more detailed information.
Straight from Nike Saban’s mouth....if your high school player is transferring to 2/3 different high schools...”I don’t want them”....”they don’t want to overcome adversity”.....
Having spent over two decades in the field, I am fully convinced that a person can claim pretty much anything about fitness, no matter how outrageous and lacking evidentiary support, and a segment of the population will buy into it as long as you sound confident and convincing.
3 things to ask yourself at the beginning of each day:
1. How can I be better today, than I was yesterday?
2. How can I empower others?
3. If today is my last day on this Earth, will I be able to look my God in the eyes, and say; “I used every bit of talent You gave me!”?!
When you focus more on the decision that will make you proud rather than the decision that will bring you impulsive pleasure...you start to make the choices that truly make your life better.
Husbands/wives • Tell your spouses you love ‘em!
Parents • Tell your children you love ‘em!
Coaches • Tell your players you love ‘em!
Student-Athletes • Tell your teammates, parents, teachers & coaches you love ‘em!

Observation: the people who sustain success over the long-haul are rarely shooting for success. They are focused on the path. Their goal is mastery, which knows no end. They lose themselves in their work and community rather than having their work and community bolster their ego.
Once you realize that you are solely responsible for how you act and the standard that you hold for yourself, REGARDLESS of how those around you act, you will gain control and awareness and be able to truly forge your path forward.
A lesson I'm continuously learning every day.
S&C 101 for athletes:
1. You’re not bodybuilders, you’re athletes!
2. Squatting will ALWAYS be greater than ladder drills!
3. Form and speed is more important than weight!
4. Serious athletes take fueling their bodies, hydration, and recovery VERY seriously!
Many struggle with their mental health in silence, and they shouldn't have to.
