The United Nations has declared November 27 as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage — the very day India launched Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat in 2024.

This global recognition comes after years of efforts by child rights activist and Just Rights for Children, founder, Bhuwan Ribhu, whose grassroots movement across 782 districts helped push the demand from Indian villages to the UN.
