Thank you @ClaireBerlinski for posting up this piece from @SAFrancoC - the Venezuelan tragedy has many causes and is not narrative-compliant. Very instructive - following the old pattern of a very slow unpicking then a fast collapse. https://t.co/lBm9WZ22st
@BogeyInTheDark@ClaireBerlinski I think that would have aliviares some of the societal maladies. I think a more concentrated effort to invest in education and R&D for the national oil corporation would have made this a lot different as well.
@Hopalong808 @ClaireBerlinski I think the point is more nuanced than that. It is about how ideologies have been misunderstood and misused by supporters and opponents of Bernie and AOC.
Except it's by @SAFrancoC! But it's true I asked him to write it, so I'll take credit. And it's great, isn't it? It really, clearly, answers the questions I asked him about what the hell happened to Venezuela.
I am excited to get these thoughts out there. If you are looking for a nuanced take on Venezuela and if the chaos there can be replicated elsewhere, please check this out. Do not forget to follow @cosmo_globalist also. The moral of Venezuela https://t.co/Kivo4oztQL
From @SAFrancoC, an explanation of what we can and can't learn from Venezuela. (Joe Biden probably isn't going to turn the US into Venezuela. But be careful, anyway.) https://t.co/c9metZCbJD
