Last night, my colleagues and I stayed at the office until 3:30 a.m. preparing materials for IVS.
It had been a long time since I last pulled an all-nighter with teammates like this!
It was genuinely energizing and you could feel the excitement from everyone.
Can't wait for IVS! Let's go!!!
#IVS
Today I joined an event hosted by Genesia Ventures, where many founders and investors from Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan had gathered.
I sat in on a session where several CEOs spoke about their global businesses. Their mindset and perspectives were very stimulating and gave me a lot to think about for our future.
When I had the chance to talk about our business, people were very intrigued by the fact that we focus on the wedding industry.
It is quite a unique space — we specialize in destination weddings, encouraging couples from overseas to celebrate their wedding in Japan.
I believe there is huge potential in this market.
Wedding culture is shifting: in the past, weddings were large gatherings of 200 or even 500 guests. But as families become smaller around the world, couples no longer feel the need — or the desire — to invite so many people.
This trend is visible across China, Indonesia, Vietnam, and beyond. As weddings get more intimate, I think there is a tremendous opportunity for Japanese venues to attract more foreign couples.
I was genuinely happy to see that many people at the event were interested in our business. Going forward, I plan to spend more time researching these markets and developing localized marketing strategies to bring more couples to Japan for their weddings.
Thank you so much for inviting me to the event!!! @marikomrt_twi
