Always a HUGE THANK YOU to @simmiecolson for showing the love. @ellaharper0 is definitely one I’d encourage coaches to keep their eyes on for the class of 2027.
1v1 Finishing
Simple live finishing drill we use with our players that can benefit from better vision and solutions around the rim.
Defense touches lateral or back, ball handler attacks and finds solution at the rim
A HUGE congratulations to @GarnelleZ78561_ for OFFICIALLY being signed, sealed and delivered. Some changes happened over the last few months but she is officially college bound to @McMurry_WBB. The warhawks have a great one heading their way! Good luck G! 🏀💚🖤

WASTING TIME, TALENT, OPPORTUNITY
One of the benefits of developing High Level Professional and College Players, while also coaching my kids in youth sports is seeing the full spectrum of where players and parents can be more efficient and overachieve.
Here are Threes areas I consistently see that players can be less wasteful…
1. Time - The amount of time wasted by youth players that play an inordinate amount of games (I’m not saying don’t play at all) is rampant. They could spend 15 minutes a day at home with intentional practice on shooting form, finishing solutions, ball handling, etc. and become exponentially better.
2. Talent - As players get older, Many players with talent that gets wasted because they can’t build strong character dna, Learn to be part of a team, or have disciplined habits. They get passed by overachievers with slightly less talent at the time.
3. Opportunity - This is especially for NIL players, but also see it in The NBA. College players are making money, but also have the ability to 10x-20x their earnings (which will never happen again in their lives). The fact that some of them still see themselves as non professional players is wild. They need to see themselves as a business and reinvest in their development (every player is different based on what they get from their school- some may need on court, some performance, some mental, etc.). Having someone looking out just for them will allow them to navigate the ups and downs of a season and maximize their impact that should result in higher earnings and better opportunities.
Very proud and happy with this young a resilient group. They have their share of bumps and lumps but the group has been playing very well as of late. They also have a really great support system that shows out at games and practices. Couldn’t ask for me for a group of fresh faces hungry for the experiences.

Very strong showing by this young group this past Saturday. Nothing comes easy but this group works their butts off. An over competitive bunch with tons of support behind them. It’s slowly coming together.

Throwback to our season one squad. I remember this one very well. Their first time out of town and we were in round rock. Got all the way to the championship team but lost to a very solid team in that game.
